Police investgate fatal shootout outside Bradenton home

Bradenton, Florida -- Bradenton Police are investigating a fatal shooting outside a home Sunday night.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. Three black men reportedly held up Joshua Pinkham and Roy Potter while they were hanging out in the carport at a home in the 4200 block of 24th Street West.

The three men were dressed in black and had masks over their faces. One of them, later identified as 26-year-old James Brady, pointed a gun at Pinkham and ordered him to the ground. Instead, Pinkham pulled out a gun and the two exchanged gunfire. 

Brady was shot and died at the scene as the other two men ran away. No one else was injured and no charges have been filed as of yet.

Detectives are still searching for the other two suspects.
