Bartow, FL-- Jeffrey Mosely, 27, already had a warrant out for his arrest for attempted homicide, but officials arrested him Friday after finding him with various drugs at his girlfriends home.
According to reports, it was just after noon when High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force officials arrived to 29-year-old Katrina Matthews' house.
The smell of marijuana surrounded the home, but a search inside revealed much more. Reports say officials found and seized over 100 grams of cocaine, 35 grams of cannabis, and over 30 ecstasy pills, as well as digital scales.
During the investigation, both, Mosley and Matthews admitted to smoking pot prior to detectives arriving, despite the fact there were five minor children in the home.
Reports say the Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.
In addition to Mosley's warrant for Attempted Homicide, he was also wanted for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
He was arrested on multiple drug trafficking and possession charges in addition to five counts of Child Abuse with Great Harm. Officials have denied him bond at the Polk County Jail.
Matthews was also charged for possession and child abuse, plus resisting arrest. She reportedly bonded out of jail on Sunday on $46,500 bond.
