St. Petersburg, Florida- Police arrested a St. Petersburg woman for arson Sunday morning.

St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue responded to an active fire located at 2018 N Dr. Martin Luther King Street. According to St. Pete Fire spokesperson Joel Granata, Paula J. Ayer, 47, lives in unit 10 at the same address.

Granata says the fire started in her unit and quickly spread to the common attic area, forcing the evacuation of all 10 units.

Firefighters had the fire under control within an hour and there were no injuries. Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced.
