Tampa, Florida -- Publix is giving Tampa Bay shoppers another way to save by rolling out its digital couponing program in the area this week.
The grocery chain piloted the program in Ocala and stores in several other states and decided to expand it to all of its stores.

"We are always striving to enhance the shopping experience for our customers and want them to be able to take advantage of any cost savings available," said Shannon Patten, Publix spokesperson. "By allowing our customers to utilize digital coupons, we're offering them savings that are just a click away."
The program works by allowing customers to register their phone number online. They can make their coupon selections and redeem at the store by entering their phone number into the PIN pad at checkout.
The program will be in place at all Publix stores by mid-March.
Paper coupons will still be accepted.
