Winter Haven, Florida -- A woman has been arrested after she crashed her vehicle into a Winter Haven Police cruiser just after midnight, March 16.
Reportedly, a Winter Haven police officer was outside of his vehicle investigating a disturbance along Lake Silver Dr. when Jessica Baker drove outside of her lane and crashed into the back of the police cruiser. The officer did not sustain any injuries.
Baker continued to travel until the car would not go any more - about a quarter of a mile. According to reports, when officers approached, Baker indicated that she didn't crash into anything. She stated that she stopped the car because it was not steering correctly and she needed to call someone to get it fixed.
Baker was charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain designated lane causing a crash. She was booked into the Polk County Jail. She did not need medical treatment.
