Tampa, Florida-- UPDATE: Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say the man barricaded inside a Tampa home ended his life Tuesday evening.
According to their latest report, the man's concerned father contacted deputies shortly after 5 p.m., saying his son called him with threats of suicide while driving in the Tampa area.
Deputies found the man's car off the 14000 block Stowbridge Ave.- the home of the man's estranged wife, explains the report.
Deputies were able to speak with him over the phone, and he reportedly said he "was ok and would be coming out".
A short time later, deputies called SWAT and Crisis Negotiation personnel to the scene- the man did not come out of the home, and he stopped answering his phone, says the report.

After negotiators made additional attempts to reach him, they sent a robot into the home. The man's body was found with an apparent, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Reports say the man's wife arrived to the scene around 8 p.m. to give them a key to get in.
No one else was inside the home at the time of the incident.

Preliminary reports say the man is home alone, and is threatening suicide with a gun.
Neighborign homes have been evacuated.
