Polk County, Florida-- Polk County Sheriff's detectives arrested a fellow employee after they caught her in a car with drugs, cash and her five-month-old baby Monday night...and that was before they searched her home.
According to PCSO, it was around 11 p.m. when their officers pulled over a Toyota Four-Runner off Lake Cutoff Rd. near Lake Wales.
As the deputies spoke with the driver, 28-year-old Adrian Whitty, they said they smelled a strong scent of marijuana in the SUV- and a search shortly after revealed why.
In addition to Whitty's passengers, 24-year-old Terrika Christian and her five-month-old son, deputies reportedly found pot, and over $1,500 in cash.
And as deputies questioned Christian, who has been a PCSO dispatcher for a little over four years, she reportedly lied about her address multiple times- but that did not stop them from finding, and getting approval to search the Winter Haven home she shares with Whitty.
After their search, officials said they confiscated nearly 200 grams of marijuana, some Oxycodone pills, a digital scale and more cash.
Both Whitty and Christian were arrested and charged with drug possession charges, drug paraphernalia possession, maintaining a home for drug use, and intent to sell.
PCSO said Christian resigned from the agency last night, and if she had not done so, she would have been suspended pending termination.
