Tampa, Florida - At a hearing on Friday, Hillsborough County Circuit Judge William Fuente said that the trial of Dontae Morris, accused of shooting two Tampa Police officers, will take place in Orlando at the beginning of November and is expected to last about two weeks.
Tampa Officers Jeffrey Kocab and David Curtis were both shot during a traffic stop on June 29, 2010. A police dash cam caught the crime on video and police recognized Morris and named him as the suspect.
After a four-day manhunt, Morris was arrested. He faces the death penalty.
In an unrelated Tampa shooting, Morris was also found guilty of robbery and the first degree murder in the May 31, 2010 shooting of Rodney Jones in Tampa.
