Port Richey, Florida - Police are searching for the man who held up a Port Richey tanning salon on Tuesday afternoon just before 1:30 p.m.
The man walked into House of Tan pretending to be a customer.
After about 20 minutes inside, he flashed a gun at the manager and demanded she hand over the cash.
Customers in their tanning beds did not hear as the gunman forced the woman into a laundry room.
"He decided he wanted to pull the weapon out and point it in her chest and tell her that he better get at least one minute to get out or he was going to kill her," said Officer Gary Lush with the Port Richey Police Department.
Surveillance cameras inside the store caught images of the suspects.
He is described as being between 5'6" and 5'8" tall, between 25 and 35-years-old, with brown hair and a goatee.
He wore a blue shirt, light blue jean shorts, and white sneakers at the time of the robbery.
The robbery has prompted neighboring businesses to take measures in hopes of deterring thieves.
"The owner of the company, as soon as she found out what really happened, she had the office manager make up this little sign so that anybody can see that we don't keep money on the premises," said Michael Moore who works at Design Graphics Advertising Associates - which is located two doors down from House of Tan.
The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.
