Officials had on display Primer, a Tampa Fire search and rescue dog, the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Mobile Command Unit, and the Technical Rescue Truck - to name a few.
The event will also feature about 50 vendors, and residents will learn what to do before, during, and after a storm. Emergency officials said having a plan in place is critical.
"We want everybody to come out so they can hear firsthand from the professionals what they need to do to get prepared and see what the county is doing to be there to help them," said Hillsborough County Director of Emergency Management, Preston Cook.
The Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo at MOSI is Saturday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. It is free.
