Amity, Oregon -- We have a sad update to bring on a kitten that was born earlier this week with two faces.
CNN is reporting that the kitty, named Deucy, has died.
Deucy's owner said the kitten, which was born on Tuesday, was rejected by her mother, and the family had been feeding Deucy with kitten formula using a syringe.
CNN affiliate KGW reports Deucy died peacefully Thursday morning.
Cats that are born with this rare congenital disorder are known as "Janus cats," named for the Roman god with two faces.
Janus cats usually do not survive for more than a few days, but in 2011 a 12-year-old two-faced feline named Frankie and Louie made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
