Largo Police: Man sought who grabbed boy in Publix restroom

Largo, Florida -- Largo Police are asking for the public's help identifying the man seen in a Publix surveillance video who grabbed a 10-year-old boy as he left a bathroom stall.

Police say on June 21 around 5:40 p.m., the boy was using the men's restroom in the Publix store located in the 3800 block of East Bay Drive at the time of the incident. He told police when the man grabbed his right hand he made an inappropriate remark, that was meant to lure or entice him, but the boy pulled his hand away and walked out of the bathroom.

The man then left the store. He is described as a white male, approximately 6' tall, 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jean shorts, a gray tank shirt, a dark green hat, a black watch on his left wrist and a dark-colored backpack.
