Forecast: Warm & Partly Sunny Sunday; Sct'd Afternoon Storms

Tampa Bay, Florida --  On Sunday, our winds will shift more southwesterly. This pattern will result in a better chance of late morning/early afternoon showers by the coast, and developing storms along and east of I-75 after 2 p.m.

A weak surface ridge to our south will maintain a southwesterly/westerly flow across the viewing area Monday through Friday. Expect a typical summertime pattern with morning showers and storms near the beaches to shift inland during the afternoon each day. High temperatures will remain around 90 degrees, with lows in the mid 70's.

Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 10 AM - 2 PM near the coast, and between 2PM - 9PM for areas along and east of I-75.   Partly sunny, with a high near 90. South wind 5 to 9 mph. 50% coverage of storms

Monday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11 a.m.  - 2 p.m. for coastal areas, with storms moving inland between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.  Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Light south southwest wind becoming west southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Storm coverage 30%.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for areas near the coast, with storms shifting inland by afternoon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. for areas near the coast, with storms shifting inland by afternoon.  Partly sunny, with a high near 92. Southwest wind 5 to 11 mph.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 92.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 92.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 92.
