Seminole, Florida -- One person was killed and several others injured after a motorcycle and a pickup truck that was towing a pontoon boat collided on Bay Pines Boulevard on Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened at Seminole Blvd and Bay Pines Blvd, near the entrance to the War Veterans Memorial Park shortly before 3 p.m.  Sky 10 footage earlier showed the truck crashed head-on into a wall and the motorcycle almost appeared to have disintegrated.

Pinellas deputies say the driver of the truck, 67-year-old Robert Sterner, was making a left turn into the entrance of the memorial park when a 2004 Honda Motorcycle driven by 20-year-old Justin Jonson of Ruskin struck the passenger's side of Sterner's truck.

Johnson was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where he later died. Johnson was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Sterner and four passengers inside the truck were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
