PLANT CITY, Fla. (AP) - Police say a Plant City man driving a stolen dirt bike has died after crashing into a guard rail.
A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office statement released early Saturday says 27-year-old Tyease Thompson was speeding when he lost control of the bike and drove off the road. He struck a guard rail.
Authorities say Thompson wasn't wearing a helmet or eye protection and died at the scene.
The motorcycle Thompson was operating had been reported stolen in Hillsborough County. It was returned to the rightful owner.
Authorities have not said how Thompson got a hold of the bike.
