Melbourne, FL (Florida Today) -- A man accused of killing and dismembering his ailing mother and
fleeing to New York has been returned to Brevard County to face a murder
Francis Riccio, 49, was arrested
in New York, where he has families ties, in late May after a two-week
investigation by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

make an arrest, Francis Riccio had fled to New York. Investigators
traveled there and arrested him on charges of premeditated murder, abuse
of a dead body and altering or destorying evidence.
He was returned to Brevard County jail on Saturday, and his next court date is scheduled for Oct. 2.
