WALDO, Florida (AP) - A man was arrested during a traffic stop in north Florida after the officer reported seeing marijuana stuck to the man's shirt.
Police say 37-year-old Jason Sprott was pulled over Sunday afternoon for speeding in Waldo - a small town notorious for being one of the worst speed traps in the country. When Sprott got out of his van as ordered, the officer said he noticed a green leafy substance on the front of Sprott's shirt.
Sprott reportedly told the officer that he had been smoking pot and that he had some in his van. The officer reported finding several plastic bags of marijuana and a scale.
The Gainesville Sun reports that Sprott was charged with multiple counts, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He was being held on $17,500 bail.
