St. Petersburg, Florida -- A man riding a scooter received life threatening injuries after swerving and almost hitting two pedestrians.
Lacey Fraze and Wesley Reeves were attempting to cross Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. Nathan Cicle was traveling eastbound on Central avenue on a motor scooter as Reeves and Fraze were crossing. Reportedly, Reeves stopped before Cicle approached however Fraze continued to walk and Cicle swerved to avoid her.
Cicle was ejected from the scooter and struck his head on the pavement. Fraze suffered minor injuries and Cicle suffered a life threatening head injury and was transported to Bayfront Medical Center.
The investigation is continuing.
