Spring Hill, Florida-- Lakeyra Langley is a petite, 25-year-old woman with some powerful pipes.
Her "Voice of McDonalds" online video displays her vocal skills in a talent competition open to more than 1.8 million McDonalds employees worldwide- a competition in which she's been selected to be one of just 25 semi-finalists.
Lakeyra manages at the McDonalds in Spring Hill, but says music is her life.
"My love of music comes from my soul; it comes from my heart. I can't live without music," she said. "It's my piece of mind. It's my serenity."
Lakeyra's love of music was noticed early by customers and by restaurant owner Josh David, who pushed her to enter the contest and thinks she can win.
"She really is part of the machine that drives this restaurant, so she'll be greatly missed...It will be bittersweet," said David.
Lakeyra practices by singing to her daughter at bedtime. She wants her music to bring them both a great life.
"I'd love to make it to the top and sing for millions. Hollywood would be good too," said Langley.
Online voting makes up 50 percent of the score, so if you want her to win, you've got to vote. Click here to vote, and share our post on the WTSP 10 News Facebook page to encourage your friends to do the same!
