Panacea, Florida (Tallahassee Democrat) -- Two people are dead and another person is in critical condition after a helicopter reportedly crashed at Wakulla County Airport, near Tallahassee.
The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office says a helicopter was trying to take off from the airport around 8 p.m. Saturday when it collided with a tree limb and landed upside down.
53-year-old Curtis Clifford, pilot of the helicopter, and 49-year-old passenger Terry Bryan Ooten were both pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
The third individual on the helicopter, 46-year-old Sheri Devore, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, but is reported to be in critical condition. WCSO has been working with Highway Control and the Fire Department to investigate the crash.
