Katie Matthews, the sister of 28-year-old Daniel Morris, identified as the driver of the SUV in the fatal, wrong-way wreck on I-275, spoke with 10 News about the recent incident.
The driver of the white SUV that was heading in the opposite direction on I-275, and subsequently crashed into the vehicle with the 4 USF students, has been identified as 28-year-old Daniel Lee Morris from Michigan. This is a screenshot of a photo posted on his Facebook page.
Tampa, Florida - The sister of Daniel Morris, who was driving the wrong way down I-275 before crashing and killing four people, discussed her brother with 10 News from her home in Kentucky.

"I just feel bad for the parents and the families. I mean I understand he was in the wrong. He shouldn't have been driving drunk or driving backwards," said Katie Matthews, Morris' sister.
She said her brother, an East Bay High School grad, moved back to Tampa from Michigan two weeks ago and was temporarily living with friend Scott Enfinger at a home on Broad Street.
"He was a good-hearted person. He helped people when he could," Katie said of her brother. "He was laid back and he just enjoyed life."
It remains unclear where Morris entered an exit ramp leading to I-275 on Sunday morning around 2 a.m., where he sped down the highway and slammed into a car with four people inside.

The S.U.V that Morris drove belonged to Enfinger, the man he was living with.
The car exploded into flames, killing USF frat brothers Dammie Yesudhas, Jobin Kuriakose, Imtiyaz Ilias and Ankeet Patel.
On the night of the crash, neighbors say there was a party at their E. Broad Street home, which grew louder and out of control.
"They were arguing. Then it died down for a little bit and then about 2 in the morning it escalated," said neighbor Gregory Smith.
The Florida High Patrol is still looking into whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the deadly wrong-way wreck.
