Tampa, Florida -- Sports stars from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tamp Bay Rays, and New York Yankees walked young cancer patients down the runway in Tampa for Fashion Funds the Cure.
The girls who walked with their celebrity escorts are either battling cancer or they have beaten it. The event at the Tampa International Jet Center not only celebrates their strength and courage, but it also raises money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
750 people attended. The foundation expects to make more than $450,000.
The Pediatric Cancer Foundation is dedicated to raising money to find less toxic and more targeted treatments for children.
