Tampa, Florida - Tampa Bay Devil Rays outfielder Elijah Dukes -- who has been sent back to the minors because of all his controversy -- was in court Monday dealing with particulars concerning his pending divorce.
Two months ago, Dukes' estranged wife, NiShea Gilbert, claimed her husband had repeatedly threatened her life and her children's lives.
Monday the judge ordered Dukes pay NiShea $3,300 a month in alimony. Pay $2,800 child support for their two kids. He must also submit to random drug tests for marijuana use and evaluations to see if he has alcohol problems.
In addition to several other requirements concerning health and life insurance, the judge ordered Elija and NiShea to meet with a parenting coordinator at least four times together.
While on the stand, Dukes admitted to smoking pot.
All of Monday's rulings are temporary orders while the divorce is proceeding.
