Anthony Masters and his friends were out playing a game of golf at Wildcat Run Golf and Country Club in Estero on Saturday when they spotted an alligator calmly strolling along the golf course.
Masters said the group were playing two foursomes and spotted the alligator in the middle of the 14th fairway. Masters, who lives in Boca Raton and was visiting friends in Estero, said he thought the gator was about 8-10 feet. He filmed the gator walking across the grass and making its way to a lake.
"As we drove up he decided to make a move towards the lake in order to cool down from the hot and humid day," he said via email.
Masters said the group enjoyed watching the gator move around the course. The group was not scared. "We’ve seen another few of them around Wildcat Country Club that are big and possibly bigger, but they never seem to be imposing on the golfers," he said.
"We just keep on with our game and let them enjoy their natural habitat."
