Body cam captures Pasco K-9 hunt for suspect

Pasco County Sheriff's Office shared this intense body cam video of a manhunt for a hit-and-run suspect on September 7.

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- The hunt is on for a hit-and-run suspect and Pasco County Sheriff's Office K-9 deputy "Chris" is on it.

A video shared to the Pasco Sheriff's Facebook shows an intense eight minute hunt into the Florida woods for a suspect involved in the crash at Interstate 75 and State Road 54. He was witnessed running from the scene.

"Chris" and his handler, identified as Deputy Hall, are seen in body cam footage searching for the man in low brambles, scrub brush and mucky water behind a bank branch location.

If you stick with the video at around the 6:00 mark, the K-9 identifies his man hiding out in some high grass. He is brought into custody without further problems.

Great job PCSO and Chris for getting their suspect!
