A 78-year-old woman lives in the home, but was not there at the time of the fire.
"I don't know her very well, but I heard she was having medical issues and she was staying with her son," said Culver.
Patricia Williams' husband lives in an assisted living home right next door. She was on her way to visit him when she got the news and says she's now counting her blessings.
"I was praying it wasn't my husband or anybody for that matter, but since you told me the house was empty in there, God has answered my prayers. It wasn't him," said Williams.
According to Hillsborough Fire Rescue, it took firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control but there us still more work ahead to determine a cause.
