Michael Clayton trains for Dancing with the Stars

St. Petersburg, Fl – One of the premier charitable fundraising events for this area is Tampa Bay’s Dancing with the Stars and Great Day Tampa Bay’s Michael Clayton is in training. He’ll be dancing with a pro on Saturday, October 1st and raising money for charity.

Clayton, a former professional football player, says he’s never done anything like this before. “I really went into it with no moves, I’ve never danced before,” says Clayton. “But I wanted to go in and challenge myself and do something different, I like to maximize my full potential and I love to entertain.”

The event raises money for Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across the Bay charity. “I appreciate the entire community and all the support they give us they give us for the entire year and we’re so happy to have Michael dancing. He’s going to put on an incredible show,” says Weintraub.

The event also raises awareness and funds for other charitable organizations chosen by Weintraub every year. This year the beneficiaries are Pinellas Safe Harbor which serves the homeless, The Kimberly Home-a pregnancy resource center, the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, and the Kid’s Place which serves foster children.

The event is sold out, but people can still help by voting with their dollars for dancers. To vote for Michael Clayton click here. “It all goes to a great cause,” says Clayton. “Pick a contestant and vote for them.”
