Authorities search for escaped inmates in Florida Panhandle

CHIPLEY, Fla. --  Authorities in Washington County, Florida, continue to search for two men who escaped from a county jail cell Sunday.

Ronly Diaz Pardo, 27, and David Allan Anderson, 39, escaped from their cell by chipping away at a portion of their cell wall located under a sink, which allowed them access to a maintenance room, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

“After gaining access to the maintenance room Pardo and Anderson were able to exit into the jail yard and escape by crawling under a padlocked gate that they had bent,” the sheriff’s office posted on their Facebook page.

The sheriff’s office reports Pardo and Anderson may be in a stolen 1996 silver or beige Lincoln Town Car with a vinyl top. The car was reported to have a Florida dealer’s license plate bearing the number PH712D in the back window.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pardo and Anderson is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 850-638-6111, 850-638-8477 or email tips@wcso.us.
