Bomb threat cleared at Pasco shopping center

A bomb threat shut down a New Port Richey shopping center, and Pasco County sheriff's deputies believe it might be related to a theft that was going on at the same time.

Deputies were at the Beall's department store at Pasco Square shopping center, 7101 State Road 54, when the store received a bomb threat.

All businesses in the plaza were notified of the threat and all businesses decided to evacuate. Roads in the area remained open.

The scene was cleared after a search.
