Citrus County deputies search for suspects in armed robbery of cafes

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. -- Three unknown suspects robbed two internet cafes on Dunnellon Rd. by gunpoint around 9 p.m. on Saturday, demanding valuables from customers and employees.

The internet cafes were next door to each other. The first cafe affected was the Flamingo Internet Cafe, located at 2814 W. Dunnellon Rd. and the second was the Xtreme Internet Cafe.

Inside of the Xtreme Internet Cafe, shots were fired between one of the armed employees and an armed robbery suspect. The suspect ran to the Flamingo cafe, grabbing a woman to use as a shield to pursue the armed employee.

The suspect eventually let the woman go and there were no reported injuries.

The first suspect is being described as a black male with a Halloween mask on. The second suspect is being described as someone around 19-years-old, wearing a handkerchief on his face that was camouflage. No victims were able to describe the third suspect. 

All three suspects took off in a blue Dodge Neon.
