Triple robbery Clearwater suspect has been arrested

Clearwater Police detectives have charged the man who robbed two Walmart stores within a week.

23-year-old Amer Tayeh of Clearwater is charged with two counts of robbery and is being held in the Pinellas County Jail. He is the suspect who robbed the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 1803 N. Highland Ave. on Oct. 29 and also robbed the Walmart Supercenter at 23106 U.S. 19 N. on Nov. 6.

Tayeh came to light as a suspect, thanks to the efforts of an alert from a Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputy. He is also a suspect in crimes in that agency's jurisdiction, as well as in Largo and Pinellas Park.

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- An unidentified suspect robbed a Walmart, 7-Eleven, and a second Walmart all in the same day on Oct. 28, stealing money from all three locations.

The first Walmart that was robbed is located at 1803 N. Highland Ave., making gestures that he had a gun.

The robber then went to the 7-Eleven located at 1898 N. Highland Ave., wielding a knife and jumping over the counter to steal money.

The robber's final stop was at second Walmart located at U.S. 19 and Northeast Coachman Rd.

The suspect is being described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male who is about six foot tall with a skinny build and slight hair on his face. It is believed he left in a white Toyota.
