Former Bucs player arrested in Pasco county

New Port Richey, Florida -- A former player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who has had a long, troubled criminal history has been arrested again.

Port Richey Police say Keith McCants was arrested Thursday on one charge of driving with a suspended license, and one charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to McCants' arrest report, officers found a glass pipe with residue that tested positive for cocaine.

He is currently being held without bail.

McCants was a first round draft pick of the Buccaneers in 1990 and a former University of Alabama standout. He also played defensive end. He spent three of his six seasons in the NFL with the Bucs.

His legal troubles since leaving the NFL have included charges of cocaine possession, bad-check writing and theft.
