PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. -- The Pinellas County Sheriff's office is investigating a case surrounding an inappropriate sexual interaction between a Pinellas County bus driver and a 16-year-old student.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, a female student at the Lealman Intermediate School came forward and reported the interaction to staff at the school on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016.
The student informed the staff the incident happened around 7 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016. The bus driver drove the student to an unknown location where the incident occurred.
24-year-old Dondre Davis was arrested around 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, following questioning by detectives of the Crimes Against Children Unit, where he admitted to having inappropriate sexual activity with the victim.
Davis had initially initiated conversation with the victim a week prior, giving her his Facebook chat information and continued to flirt with her throughout the week. He is now being charged with one count of Unlawful Sexual Activity with a minor and was employed as a relief bus driver for Pinellas County Schools.
