Tampa martial arts coach accused of sexually assaulting girl

A Tampa martial arts coach is accused of sexually assaulting a girl , the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Between March 1, 2015 and Sept. 4, 2016, Nelson Ivan Del Valle-Nazario, 33, 3018 W. Braddock St., Tampa, had sexual contact with the female victim on multiple occasions, police said. The victim was between the ages of 12 and 13 at the time of the offenses.

Del Valle-Nazario was the victim's mixed martial arts coach, and the victim was in his custody at Undisputed Fitness & Martial Arts, 1412 W. Waters Ave., at the time of several of the offenses, deputies said, while some of the offenses occurred at his home.

During a recorded phone conversation, Del Valle-Nazario admitted to the offense, deputies said.

He was arrested Thursday afternoon at his business without incident and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail Orient Road Jail on two counts of lewd or lascivious battery and one count of driving while license was suspended.

Police said they don't know of other victims, but anyone with information is asked to contact  the sheriff's office at (813) 247-8200.
