Tampa police want to talk to men about hotel shooting

TAMPA -- Tampa police are seeking five men they say may know something about the shooting death of a teenager on Sunday.

Around 3:48 p.m., Kelly Evander Stacey Jr., 17, of Tampa was discovered by paramedics at the Tampa Hotel, 2307 E. Busch Blvd. lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Stacey died a short time later at the scene.

Police are asking the men to contact the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130 to speak with detectives.




A $3,000 reward was offered by Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay for any information that leads to the identification and arrest of a suspect in this case. Contact 800-873-TIPS (8477) or online to leave an anonymous tip and to become eligible for the reward.
