Debris from missing MH370 flight found in Mauritius

Debris from missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 was recovered on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, investigators said Friday.

The located fragment is a small part of the aircraft's wing. It was discovered in May and analyzed by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, which said in a statement that a part number positively linked it to the Boeing 777 jet that vanished on March 8, 2014, with 239 people on board.

The finding was also confirmed by Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai.

Debris from MH370 has also been recovered on the French island of Reunion and off the coast of Tanzania but the main wreckage or flight data recorders have not yet been found. The commercial jet was flying from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing when it veered off-course and disappeared.
