Deputies: Pokemon Go player had drugs in his car

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- A late night Pokemon Go search lured a Sarasota man to a county park and the smell of marijuana emanating from the man's car lured deputies to him on Monday.

Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested Guillermo A. Cava-Nunez, 20,  after they discovered the suspect in possession of marijuana, hash oil, cocaine and 66 bars of Xanax.

Deputies made contact with Cava-Nunez after smelling the pot. Cava-Nunez explained that he was meeting his girlfriend at Urfer Park at 4000 Honore Avenue around midnight to play Pokemon Go.

Cava-Nunez agreed to have his car searched by deputies, who found the drug stash, rolling papers and a scale.

He has been charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and hash oil, felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and cocaine possession.
