Sarasota, Florida -- The star of hit shows "Blossom" and "The Big Bang Theory" will be coming to the Bay area to visit a local school's STEM education classrooms.
Mayim Bialik, who currently plays the lovable, geeky neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory", will visit Sarasota Middle School on Tuesday, June 4.
Bialik will meet with students and teachers who are using new, innovative classroom technology to learn math and science as part of STEMsmart's TechActive Classrooms of Tomorrow. These new classrooms have been added to 15 schools across Sarasota and Charlotte counties.
Bialik earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA and is a strong advocate for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education. As the brand ambassador for Texas Instruments (TI), she visits schools and events around the nation to inspire teachers and encourage all students to pursue STEM education and careers.
