Bush urges graduates to restore 'right to rise'

GROVE CITY, Pa. (AP) - Former Florida governor and potential GOP presidential contender Jeb Bush tells college graduates it's time to be bolder and create a world where hard work makes a difference.

Bush made the comments in a commencement speech delivered Saturday to 585 students at northwestern Pennsylvania's Grove City College.

Inside a campus arena, the Tribune-Review of Pittsburgh reports Bush told the graduates that he hoped to see the next generation restore "the right to rise."

Bush spoke for almost 14 minutes, and hit themes including the importance of adhering to one's convictions, faith and family.

Grove City describes itself as a Christian liberal arts college and was named a top conservative college by the Young America's Foundation, a national conservative organization focused on college campuses.
