(USA Today)-- Justin Bieber was not part of the Grammy festivities this year.

And he wasn't happy about the snub.

The star's Believe album was released in June, and neither the album nor any of its singles received a nomination from the Recording Academy.

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun made it clear that he felt his client was unfairly denied recognition. "I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it," he wroteon Twitter. "Grammy board u blew it on this one. the hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. the kid delivered. Huge succesful album, sold out tour, and won people over..."

So it's interesting that on Sunday, Bieber told his fans he'd be doing a live stream starting at 8 p.m. ET, the precise start time for the Grammy broadcast.

He promised to "play some new music and answer questions ..."

But Bieber wound up having technical problems, writing that "ustream is over capacity my fans are amazing but this is frustrating."

And, "since nothing is working and im super upset i feel i gotta make it up to u."
