Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian
USA TODAY
(USA Today)-- Kim Kardashian's feathering her nest, or at least her baby bump.
The reality star stepped out Wednesday in West Hollywood wearing a Prabal Gurung feathery dress for the Topshop Topman L.A. opening party.
And today, her divorce case returned to a court, where some forward progress was made.
Superior Court Judge Stephen Moloney decided that a trial date should be set and that Kardashian's estranged husband, Kris Humphries, has had adequate time to prepare, reports AP.
And Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon set May 6 as the date.
The Friday rulings in Los Angeles came after months of wrangling between lawyers for when a trial can be set to end the 2011 marriage.
Humphries wants an annulment, while Kardashian is seeking a divorce.
Kim has said she'd like to not be married to the NBA star when her baby with Kanye West arrives this summer.
Humphries had been seeking additional time to obtain information about Kardashian's reality shows, to bolster his claim that the couple's marriage was based on fraud.
Humphries' attorney Marshall Waller asked for a delay until basketball season is over. But Gordon refused, saying firefighters, police officers, truck drivers and others have to miss work for trials, and Humphries must do the same if necessary, reports AP.
Waller filed paperwork Thursday to withdraw from the case but didn't mention that development in court and refused to answer any questions about the document on Friday.
Said Kardashian's lawyer, Laura Wasser, "Let's get this case dispensed with."
