(CBS NEWS) The Wolverine is ready to bare his claws again. After four years of hibernation, Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine in this Japan-set sequel.
Directed by James Mangold, "The Wolverine" follows 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which gave Hugh Jackman his personal blockbuster, as a standalone from the "X-Men" franchise.
"The Wolverine" centers around the events after "X-Men: The Last Stand," which leaves Wolverine dealing with the fallout of Jean Grey's death. (Famke Janssen makes a cameo during a sad and disturbing dream sequence.)
In addition to coping with the death that he caused with his own claws, the latest trailer brings action, as well as his a struggle with possible mortality, because "Eternity can be a curse."
The film comes out on July 26.
