TORONTO - Saturday was a night that dictates shoes short on heels and a demeanor long on stamina.
A grand total of six parties, some more exciting than others.
The first stop of the night: You Are Here, held at the Soho House. There, in the corner, director Matthew Weiner (Mad Men) gabbed with one of the stars, Amy Poehler.
USA TODAY nabbed Poehler for a quick chat.
How is she enjoying the festival so far? "Everyone here is so polite and lovely. As I get older, I honestly just want people to be nice."
Did working with Weiner get her insights into his show? "I'm a huge Mad Men fan and half of the great part of the job is that I could come into work and ask the creator these intense questions about the TV show. He wouldn't tell me anything," says Poehler.
And hey, any word on whether she and Tina Fey will host the Globes again, or perhaps the Oscars? "I don't know. Who knows?"
And there you have it.
