In a candid rehearsal moment shown on Monday's Dancing With the Stars, Leah Remini spoke out about her split from Scientology.
The King of Queens sitcom star has been struggling with learning to dance on Dancing With the Stars and told her pro partner Tony Dovolani, "I'm going through a personal big change for me and my family."
Dovolani said he knew she had been going through an upheaval in her life, but didn't realize how much it was affecting her.
During a break in their practice for Monday's samba, Remini said, "The church is looking for me to fail so they can say to their parishioners, see what happens when you leave the church."
Tony said he was "here to make sure she doesn't."
Good Morning America reported Tuesday that they had received comment from the Church of Scientology that said, "We know this may come as a surprise to someone as self-absorbed as Ms. Remini, but we could care less if she wins or loses on Dancing With the Stars."
On Monday, Remini, 43, improved over Week One and her scores have landed her in the middle of the dancing pack. ESPN's Keyshawn Johnson was the first celeb sent home.
