(USA TODAY) "It's kind of sexy," Paula Patton explained on Wednesday of the sheer and lacy dress she planned to wear to the premiere of her new movie, Baggage Claim.
Do you agree?
Seems hubby Robin Thicke did. He planted kisses on her as they posed for photos on the red carpet. He flew in from London to join her, she said on E! News earlier in the day.
When asked one more time by E!'s Giuliana Rancic and Terrence Jenkins about Thicke's VMA performance with Miley Cyrus, Patton said, "It doesn't affect me anymore at all."
She added, "It's just so funny, because when I saw him perform I was like, 'You guys killed it!' We hugged each other, we went out, celebrated. The next day, my cellphone [has] all these texts: 'Praying for you.' 'If you need to talk, I'm here.' It was all about the Miley thing and I thought, Why are people making such a big deal about it? Quite frankly, all my friends dance like that with him. He's like the guy that you can dance with, 'cause he's safe!"
Rancic then asked about Miley's Rolling Stone quotes claiming there's a "double standard" in that, "No one is talking about the man behind the (rear). It was a lot of 'Miley twerks on Robin Thicke,' but never, 'Robin Thicke grinds up on Miley.' "
Said Patton, "I think Miley's a really cool girl and it's not fair between men and women, but he certainly didn't take her and back her up into him."
She added, "Listen, I don't want to make a big deal about it. If that's how she feels I totally understand. Robin can handle it."
