(PNJ.com) - A Pensacola woman who reportedly hit her ex-boyfriend with her car was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Shana Hills, 26, was arrested at her home on Devane Street in Pensacola after the a federal fugitive task force tracked her down, said Mike Ward, a spokesman for the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
On Jan. 9, Hills reportedly hit her ex-boyfriend with her car. He was thrown from the car's hood and hit the pavement, but survived the crash, an incident report said.
At the scene, Hills told deputies that she and the man had not been in an argument and that she had come to pick him up as he requested.
Three witnesses to the incident were found Jan. 14 by the Sheriff's Office. The witnesses said they saw Hills drive north on Palafox Street, go onto the shoulder and hit her ex-boyfriend, who was standing there. One witness said he saw Hills accelerate as she hit the man and again when he was on the hood.
She is being held at Escambia County Jail under no bond.
