ORLANDO, Florida (AP) - Two high-profile attorneys for the former head of the Republican Party of Florida are asking to withdraw from his criminal case.

Cheney Mason and Donald Lykkebak filed motions this week asking to step down.

They cited "irreconcilable differences" in the handling of this case. Neither Mason nor Lykkebak returned phone calls Thursday seeking further explanation.

Greer is charged with steering party money to a shell company he formed. He has pleaded not guilty.

Another attorney, Damon Chase, is staying on the case. Chase didn't return an email inquiry.

Both Mason and Lykkebak have been involved in other high-profile cases. Mason was one of Casey Anthony's attorneys. Lykkebak represented former astronaut Lisa Nowak.
