ORLANDO, Florida (AP) - A central Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting a man and wounding the man's twin brother.
An Orange County judge sentenced 22-year-old Timmy Lee Cobb on Thursday after a jury found him guilty of one count of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Cobb was upset last year because his girlfriend was talking to her ex-boyfriend, 20-year-old Tramaine Griffin. Cobb lured Griffin to an Eatonville bar by sending him a text from his girlfriend's phone. Griffin and his twin, Jarmaine, were attacked before they reached the bar.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Jarmaine Griffin identified Cobb as the shooter.
Cobb's attorney questioned the reliability of the surviving twin's testimony and argued police failed to follow up on other leads.
