MIAMI (AP) - Authorities say a driver hit a pedestrian and dragged the body 106-feet from the point of impact.

Miami Police said witnesses saw a black Honda Accord speeding through an intersection Saturday morning. The car hit the pedestrian, causing the victim to wrap around the windshield and eventually roll off the vehicle nearly 106-feet from impact.

The victim has not been identified.

An hour later, a detective spotted an individual acting suspiciously inside what he believed to be a stolen car. The vehicle had extensive damage to the windshield and was full of blood.

Authorities said that person faces charges of failing to submit to a sobriety test and tampering with evidence. Detectives did not release their identity.
