PORT ST. JOHN, Fla. (AP) - A medical examiners report reveals a Florida mother who killed her four children earlier this year was drunk at the time of the shooting.

According to a report released earlier this week, 33-year-old Tonya Thomas had a blood-alcohol content of 0.16 percent. That is twice the legal limit to drive in Florida.

Thomas shot her children, ages 12 to 17, in Port St. John in May. The wounded children fled to a neighbor's house, trying to break in, but they returned when Thomas came outside and calmly called them home.

A medical examiner's report obtained by Florida Today said Thomas fired a revolver against the chest of at least two of the children, shooting 18 rounds before turning the gun on herself.
